A reasonably-priced beachfront rental?

We are going with some friends. We predict that there will be 6-10 of us in total, but are flexible in terms of how many people we end up inviting.

Any ideas or recommendations of a beach-front vacation rental that is reasonably priced for a four-ish day period would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi most rentals in season go from Sat - Sat. When are you planning to come? (Also I don't want you to get your hopes up - "reasonably priced" & " waterfront " on the Vineyard are usually not one & the same)

We were thinking Sept 2012. Maybe 2nd row beachfront?

There isn't a second row like on Myrtle Beach or the Outer Banks. I'd take a look at some rentals so you can get a sense of prices, locations, etc. The 3 main towns on the Vineyard are Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven & Edgartown - all nice places to stay, each with its own personality. Chilmark & Menemsha are beautiful villages on the other end of the island, much quieter. Take a look at some of the posts here on this forum & check out some of the rentals available on these links to get some idea of prices, availability, etc.
