We're planning our first visit to Panama, arriving toward the end of April and returning to the United States around May 9. We're curious as to what to expect in terms of restaurant and/or tour/excursion availability on May 1, which we understand is a national holiday in Panama.
We MAY be in Panama City, or Boquete, or Bocas del Toro on May 1. We're wondering how the holiday would affect the kind of "touristy" things we might do in those locations (like, eat, tour, etc.). What should we expect?
