Bialowieza Forest

Im travelling to Belarus in a couple of weeks and want to know the best way of seeing the bialowieza forest. I've booked a night in guesthouse usadba belovezhskoye pomestye which should be a good starting point. I'll have a car, can you drive into the forest and then hike? Any tips?

I guess you should check with the farmstay you booked because the place is technically by the borderline area and walks are not allowed just anywhere. The park itself offers two walking tracks for 5 km and a longer one but they are not particularly breathtaking.

Hi Felix

Thanks for your response. Where do the 5km tracks start?

It's called Lake Side track and along with a longer one they start just after the Park gate in the south (Kemenyuki). You buy a ticket and a map in Russian at one of the stands.

Felix, I can't seem to find Kemenyuki on a map of Belarus. Where is it?
