Alternative to Castaway?

Hi gang,

Looking at an alternative to Castaway for next year. Have done Castaway 4 times with our son (now 10) but they are booked out on our dates next year.

Any recommendations for something similar? Note bures must have dividers between the beds - he snores!

Thanks.

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.

Do you need a kids club? Mana might work...

If you've traveled to Castaway by boat you've no doubt seen Mana on the way there.

Or you could check out Musket Cove but no kids club...

If you don't mind the extra travel Blue Lagoon would be worth considering...

When are you traveling?

There are no dividers between the adults and kids beds at Malolo, although one is kind of tucked around a corner. At Blue Lagoon you would be in one large room unless you went for the Palm Bungalow (I thinks that's what they are called) . I wouldn't consider Mana to be of a similar standard as Castaway, but that's just my opinion. Kristie

Have a look at Octopus. We have just booked and were actually very pleasantly surprised

The deluxe bures at Malolo island Resort have a separate bedroom plus single beds in the living room.

Appreciate the comments. With Octopus and the dorm style accommodation, does this attract large number of backpackers? Looking for a family environment.

Thx

Hi Mark, there are some backpackers at Octopus (and Blue Lagoon) but overall I found it a good mix of families, couples and young singles. However if you are looking for lots of other kids, this is probably not the place. Kristie
