Water temperature late August early September?

HI All

We have been to Fiji many times, but not August. Want/hope to be able to swim without having to inch in a bit at a time. Any comments from those who have been then? Just looking for some reassurance before I book for some much needed R and R. Can't imagine it will be a deal breaker but just thought I'd ask. Going in August to beat the school hols. . Fiji is calling - you all know how it gets. :)

Thanks

Warmer than at home that is for sure, probably around 21-23°C. Depends on currents and weather. Warmer if you are lucky, seem to get warm and cold patches in the water.

Thanks Hooked. Will take our chances then. Just starting to look at accommodation avaiability - will head out to the islands.

Hopefully be a change to going in cyclone season anyway.
