Venezuela Trip

Looking to visit Venezuela next year (2014). Things I want to see are Catatumbo Lightning, Merida, Angel Falls and Margarita Islands. Was wondering what order is the most efficient way to see all of these places? Would like to avoid Caracas if possible. Will be travelling into Venezuela from Columbia either Bogota or Cartagena again whichever is most efficient. Will be continuing on from Venezuela to Nicaragua.

I believe the Catatumbo lightning is near Maracaibo so that would be the best place to start if entering from Colombia.

Then on to Merida.

From there the best bet would be Margarita Island. You can book trips to Canaima (Angel falls) from Margarita through one of the many tour agencies here. We use Magic Tours & Travel here in Playa El Agua beach for the guests at our B&B.

You can see more info here:

Enjoy your trip.

For this tour you go from caracas by plane to El Vigia, then to Merida. From merida you can book tour to the Catatumbo Delta. Then flight through Caracas to Puerto Ordaz for Angelfall trip, then direct flight from Puerto Ordaz to Porlamar,
