We had plans to fly to Quito using TAME from Ft. Lauderdale. We purchased that flight and another one from Quito to Cuzco using Priceline. I bought insurance on the first one and wasn't asked for the second otherwise I would have. Regardless it completely puts our trip in disarray. The insurance will only let us have a refund for the cheap flight we booked so that we could pay more for another flight. They did offer the same flight on another date free of charge. I bought a companion ticket form DELTA to Ft. Lauderdale and now we will have to pay for change of fare fees and $200 penalty charges per ticket and also have to make extra hotel reservations for a cost over $500. So now the flight to Ft. Lauderdale from Delta will be more expensive than if I had just bought the tickets straight up.
Not a good day ):
