Miraflores or San Isidro?

My husband and I will be flying into Lima about 9pm on a Thursday and will depart about 1pm on the following Saturday. While there we would like to tour the Museo Larco and see some of the old city but prefer to stay in a hotel in either San Isidro or Miraflores. Given our limited time, is one area more convenient than the other? What's the difference in travel time from the airport to either place and between these areas and downtown?

As you explain it I fully agree it. But nevertheless Miraflores is not non-Peuvian, or is Beverly Hills non-American?

What Miraflores, San Isidro, Barranco or Chorrilos is I know exactly. First time I visited Peru was 31 years ago. Since a while I live and work in Lima.

May we can have a good discussion here.
