Jungle Lodge - three wall rooms

Hi there,

We're flying into a Puerto Maldonado this May and just deciding which lodge to go with. Having never been to the jungle before, I'm hesitant to stay in a lodge with only three walls, in particular nervous about spiders getting into our room at night! Inkaterra is booked out for the dates we need - but it seems all other options have open walls.

Does anyone know of any other lodges in this area that have closed rooms? If not, are there lodges with only three walls, but with netting on the 'open' wall?

Thanks so much for your advice!

if its a costly lodge, it will be fine, i think INKATERRA would choose a good one for you, the 3 walls ones i think are properly sealed, and part of the éxperience´of getting ´closer to the nature´

I would recommend that you email some of the lodges & ask if they have screening or netting on the open wall.

Posadas Amazonas and Refugios Amazonas both have 3 wall rooms and now also have Superior Rooms which are fully enclosed with 4 walls
