Kudos to Ancient Summit

My wife and I recently decided to visit Peru. We usually stay away from organized tours and take care of our own planning and travels. We like exploring, away from tourists. But since we don't speak Spanish and knew very little about Peru, we decided to find a tour that would offer a personalized experience. We found Ancient Summit on the web and I can't rave enough about our experience.

Nina Fogelman, the owner, quickly understood what we were looking for and suggested an itinerary around the type of things we expressed interest in (photography, food, people, local lifestyle). She was always very responsive and understanding despite our multiple calls and emails to change things last minute.

Once we arrived in Peru, we always had someone picking us up and taking us to incredible places, away from tourist destinations. There was a good balance of tours and time on our own. We never felt rushed or bored.

The guides were all truly amazing, friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. It felt like traveling with a Peruvian friend rather than a guide we hired. We were able to experience a slice of Peru that no other tour would have provided and we wouldnt have had the opportunity to discover on our own. If you have limited time in Peru and/or don't want the headache of organizing everything yourself, yet don't want to be in a tourist tour, then don't hesitate to contact Nina at Ancient Summit.
