weather

I can't decide if I want to do a "land tour" of Galapagos in middle of December, January or February? I hate to get rained out on the excursions and I like "warm weather". Any suggestions? I hope to get there on a United employee "standyby" pass.

Dear Honey,

from December to February, it gets warmer and warmer, both above and below the water. You'll also be at greater risk of the occasional tropical downpour. Generally, during the rainy season (e.g. Jan - April/May), the rain comes in short but strong bursts which don't necessarily cause a problem - it's warm, the rain is warm etc... Of course, it's never cold in the Galapagos - even during the coolest months (Sept/Oct), it is warm under the sun - only the evenings might compel you to wear long pants and a light jacket.

I hope this helps!

Warmest regards,
