Endeavor versus Eclipse

I am getting ready to book a trip to the Galapagos with my two 28 year old daughters in May, 2012 (I am their 71 year old father). At this point, I have narrowed the options down to the Nat Geo/Lindblad Expeditions "Endeavor" or the Abercrombie & Kent trip on the "Eclipse." I realize that it is very unlikely that anyone has been on both ships on a cruise to the Galapagos, but if people can tell me something about one or the other, that would help me make a comparison. I know of course the the Endeavor is larger and carries more pasasengers, but I would be interested in any comments about cabin size, meals, staff, guides, etc. Thanks in advance for any replies.

We are starting to plan a trip and also looking at Abercrombie & Kent v. National Geographic. Did you end up going on one of these tours and do you have any feedback?

I am confronted with the same decision to make, and hoping to make a decision in the next couple of days. Any feedback on Endeavour versus Eclipse? It will be my wife and I and our two teenage boys. The itineraries are pretty comparable. The rooms appear to be much larger on the Eclipse (195 sq ft vs. 149 sq ft), but the crew and technology aboard the Endeavour seem incredible. I am into photography and the Endeavour has two certified photography instructors onboard. The Eclipse is about $1,200 per person more expensive (based on what is available).

I've been on the Endeavor for several cruises. It used to go to more than just the Galapagos. Linblad Expeditions/Nat Geo is always fabulous. The nightly discussions with the specialists are very educational and interesting. The food is always amazing, and the staff is impeccable. When you have been on more than one cruise with them, you begin to recognize the crew (which is like a family) and appreciate how much they do for you. Linblad has all the frills, but isn't pretentious. I've never been on the Eclipse, but you can't go wrong with Endeavor.

We are a family of three thinking of going this January (I know--- I am very late).

It will be my husband, young adult daughter and myself. Is the Endeavor or Islander more comfortable for three.I am worried about seasickness so perhaps the Endeavor?

We had a family of three (two adults and one teenager) on the Eclipse and had a wonderful time. Here is my review:

You really can't go wrong with either, I think. One big difference, though, is the size of the ship: 96 vs. 48 passengers. Depending on what you prefer, I would choose based on that.
