Hi,
Just wanted to post our experience in Ecuador and Peru with Voyagers travel.
We had a complex trip, as any multigenerational family traveling together we had all different priorities. We wrote to several companies and even visited a travel agent in the city (soho), we just felt no one understood us. We finally ran into Voyagers. We liked their website and their form requested the proper information. Their response was really good, Francisco our sales agent was very attentive and scheduled a call.
We got all our questions answered and he even gave us his cell phone so we can chat on whatsapp if we have further questions.
In the end they planned a really we organized trip for us. We enjoyed 10 days in Ecuador (5 day cruise on board the Sea Star - an amazing boat) and the most lovely and quaint find in Quito, we stayed at ILLA hotel in the old village. What a find, it is quite new to say. The place was gorgeous and Voyagers had requested we get the gold leaf experience! - we visited the colonial churches and museums and loved how much art the city has, our guide Doris realized how much we liked this and called the hotel, when we got their they had an artisan restoring a frame from an old colonial church and even allowed us to take part in placing gold leaf on the wood!
The kids loved it.
They also helped organize a surprise birthday celebration for our 16 year old daughter, they booked a private dinner for the family on the middle deck of the Sea Star with lobster and special deserts, truly delicious but also thoughtful and sensitive since it gave our family time alone to enjoy reconnecting with my parents.
Peru was also brilliant, we enjoyed eating out in Lima, they suprised us as well taking us to a hidden restaurant under the stadium (Mi Barrunto) it is run by 3 brothers who are chefs and prepare some of the best sea food we ever tasted. Lima and Cuzco were well planned, they had us stay the first night in the sacred valley so we could have a better adaptation to altitude. No issues and good planning.
I would highly recommend contacting Voyagers for any trip to Ecuador and Peru.
