Voyagers Travel - Quito based agency

Hi,

Just wanted to post our experience in Ecuador and Peru with Voyagers travel.

We had a complex trip, as any multigenerational family traveling together we had all different priorities. We wrote to several companies and even visited a travel agent in the city (soho), we just felt no one understood us. We finally ran into Voyagers. We liked their website and their form requested the proper information. Their response was really good, Francisco our sales agent was very attentive and scheduled a call.

We got all our questions answered and he even gave us his cell phone so we can chat on whatsapp if we have further questions.

In the end they planned a really we organized trip for us. We enjoyed 10 days in Ecuador (5 day cruise on board the Sea Star - an amazing boat) and the most lovely and quaint find in Quito, we stayed at ILLA hotel in the old village. What a find, it is quite new to say. The place was gorgeous and Voyagers had requested we get the gold leaf experience! - we visited the colonial churches and museums and loved how much art the city has, our guide Doris realized how much we liked this and called the hotel, when we got their they had an artisan restoring a frame from an old colonial church and even allowed us to take part in placing gold leaf on the wood!

The kids loved it.

They also helped organize a surprise birthday celebration for our 16 year old daughter, they booked a private dinner for the family on the middle deck of the Sea Star with lobster and special deserts, truly delicious but also thoughtful and sensitive since it gave our family time alone to enjoy reconnecting with my parents.

Peru was also brilliant, we enjoyed eating out in Lima, they suprised us as well taking us to a hidden restaurant under the stadium (Mi Barrunto) it is run by 3 brothers who are chefs and prepare some of the best sea food we ever tasted. Lima and Cuzco were well planned, they had us stay the first night in the sacred valley so we could have a better adaptation to altitude. No issues and good planning.

I would highly recommend contacting Voyagers for any trip to Ecuador and Peru.

Hi,

We just got back from a trip with Voyagers, we combined a railroad trip from Quito to Guayaquil with a Galapagos cruise. They did an amazing job, we were well looked after and felt that the itinerary was well paced out.

I definitely think Ecuador deserves more pulbicity, the country is astounding, we loved the small hotels we visited, Rumiloma in Quito, La Danesa outside of Guayaquil. The people are lovely and the nature of Galapagos is just amazing.

Always a good company to work with, just got back from guiding a group of photographers. Voyagers planned the trip seemlesly, makes my life easy as a guide. Highly recommended.

Hi,

It is good to read this review, we are considering to book a boat trip for the end of the month and are about to wire money to Voyagers. We just are deciding between 2 boats the Millenium and the Tip Top 4, any advice on the main diference between both?

I would definitely go with the Tip Top 4. IMO it is a much nicer boat and has a solid management team. Out of experience Tip Top gets better reviews.

We also booked with Voyagers, Francisco helped us put our itinerary together. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely patient. We made the poor guy quote 4 itineraries before we decided on a basic 3 nights in Quito and the 5 night cruise on board the Sea Star journey.

The trip was amazing. I highly recommend their services, everything went clockwork.

We had a trip booked with Voyagers for April 2nd.

Ecuador closed its borders due to COVID 19 and we cannot travel. I just wanted to mention that Voyagers Travel did a great job in helping us retrieve all deposits and now we have a 100% credit for all services. They went the extra mile.

I just wanted to make note of the honesty, sympathy and help from Andre and his team. I am extremely grateful and we have decided to travel September this year. We all need to consider tourism companies now, they need our help, there only request is please reschedule your trip.

We have been in contact with them and we have expressed our solidarity, we know they are hurting too.

We hope this situation is over soon for the good of mankind.
