I will be going on a 17 day cruise to South America, starting in Santiago, Chile and ending in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will be going on Princess cruises. I wonder if anyone has been recently, and if vaccinations are really necessary. Thank you

1. Re: Vaccinations

Have you checked any medical advice organisations' sites, eg CDC, NHS?

I would be more worried about onboard diseases. Ships are renowned for outbreaks. In comparison, Chile has deserts which are largely sterile, and mountains where bugs dont tend to thrive.

Whats Princess' advice?

No vaccinations are required for travel to either Chile or Argentina.

Yeah I can vouch for the no vaccinations required for Chile and Argentina, but the guy does have a point about being on a cruise ship that long. :)
