Hi all,
Heading to Patagonia in a few months time and thinking of doing a trip with Patagonia Adventure Trip (between El Calafate and Ushuaia). Wondering if anyone had used this company and if not which other operates are recommended?

Hi Will,
Did you end up taking the trip with Patagonia Adventure Trip? (or maybe you are there right now??)
I'm considering taking their 20 day "Patagonia Wild Trails" trip in Dec and am trying to find out some info on them before commiting.
Thanks,
D
sorry, i don't know that one. But I read very good comments about WOW and Curiocity Travel- both Argentinean companies. Have fun!!!
Thanks for the reply ilana123. I did a quick google of those companies and I looks like they are high-end luxury travel and I'm interested in mid-range with fairly intense trekking and off the beaten path if possible. Let me know if you can recommend anyone.
Thanks!
D
Hey,
I´m afraid i´m not doing my our with them until early January, so can´t help you i´m afraid! Sorry!
Will
i hope you are not travelling with ´bung´money - just kidding, you will have a great time
I plan to do their Torres del Paine (PWT) trip with them in late January 08. I was looking around these forums to read more about other travelers' experiences with them.
So far, they appear to be good with the communication.
I will post more comments after the trip.
We travelled with PAT and were extremely dissapointed. It is a huge organisation that is only concerned with making money and shoving people around in a way that is least costly and most convenient for them. They put people together with other groups to save money, they use poor quality hotels (for which you pay a premium that is more expensive then the hotel room itself!). It is poor value for money. It is also part of a larger association of different companies, of which for instance Andean trails and Camino Abierto (+ probably others). There is also no flexibility within this type of framework, as it only works in function of a very rigid timetable. No, we would not recommend them. If you are interested in finding out more, please let me know and I will be happy to reply to your questions.

In reply to Myles posting on this website, I would reinforce what he says. His description is very detailed and raises points I can only confirm that they reflect exactly our experience. All the things he mentioned are exactly true. In our case, our travel companions felt the same. Our recommendation would be not to use them and actually go it alone. It seemed extremely easy and we really regret that we haven't done this. Good luck! Tany
