Reciprocity tax for citizens of Unites States Chile

I know there is a reciprocity tax for citizens from United States, when they arrive to Santiago Airport. Anybody crossed the border from Mendoza by bus, and yes, do you just pay the reciprocity tax at the border crossing there?

Thank you in advance for you answer.

The Chilean fee is only charged if flying into SCL on an international flight. It is not charged at land borders, arriving by sea or other airports. You will not be charged crossing by land from Mendoza.
