I am an Australian travelling to Buenos Aires, arriving at EXE airport in a few weeks. I have attempted to process the online payment for the reciprocity fee. After getting to the end and entering in my credit card details an error message appeared in red saying it couldn't process. After using the 'try again' button at the end of that error message I re-entered my card details and the same error message occurred. For this I used google chrome and a MasterCard. I tried a third time using internet explorer and the MasterCard and the same error message came up. On my credit card statement I now have have 2 pending charges.
I am not concerned at this stage at the double charge but more so if it has processed correctly. Most importantly I have not received an email with the receipt I am meant to print and present at the airport.
How long does it take for the email with the receipt to come through? Did other people receive this confirmation/receipt email immediately after inputting your credit card details? or did you have to wait a few days until the credit card payment is on your statement and no longer a pending charge? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
If you had it go through successfully, what search engine (and version) and type of card did you use?
Has the consulate given any other advice on how to pay this fee?
