First visit to Sing

Is it worth spending extra for Mandarin Oriental's Club room? How far is the hotel from the local subway station? Thanks again!

M.O is linked to the City Hall MRT (subway) by bridges and underground tunnels (very well lit, clean and u can window shop all along the way ! u can even dine or rest at any of the food and drink outlets). The walk with a 5 year old would take 10 mins (maybe a couple of minutes more the first time round as u might stop and browse but once u know the route, u can get there a lot quicker even if there is a crowd)

As for the club room, unless u plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel, I say skip it. With kids and your first time in town, u will spend a lot of time sightseeing and enjoying the parks or other attractions. U kid will love the river boat rides, hippo or duck tours, cable cars, shopping for pretty things (SIN is a great place to buy kids' clothes as well accessories like beautiful beaded hair clips, shoes, etc, -> very cheap compare to what we can get in CT).

Another note abot M.O's club -> they discourage kids in the lounge (really !) as they really try to cater to the business crowd and those that dont want kids around.
