Hello Kay p,

Hundreds of things to see and do. Look at the tourism website and see what you like -

www.yoursingapore.com

If it was me I would head down to gardens by the bay, look around Marina bay sands (maybe visit Skypark on top), stroll around esplanade area, maybe Marina square mall (great Foodcourt on upper level with amazing view of harbour), Raffles hotel for a look around, raffles city shopping centre, or Makansutra gluttons bay for a meal, and then settle down along the esplanade, or near Merlion statue or event plaza in front of Marina bay sands to watch the 8pm nightly laser and light show over the harbour.

Unless you really want to buy specific things- shopping in Singapore is overrated in my opinion. each mall is replicated with same shops, so its boring after two or so! However the Shoppes down under Marina Bay Sands is worth a stroll as there is a museum just close , lots of food options and a " mini canal" where you get rowed along. Dont other doing it, but its amusing to watch.

Peranakan Museum is fascinating and a nice snapshot of culture in Singapore.

We stopped off at Raffles and had a Singapore Sling.

Marina Bay area is where you should go. Start with shopping in Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands... you can pop into the casino to try your luck too. If you are interested to have a view of Singapore from the top, go up to the observation deck on top of Marina Bay Sands. After lunch at one of the many restaurants/ food court there, walk over to Gardens by the Bay. Thereafter, walk across the Helix Bridge to Makansutra to have dinner. After dinner, walk over to see the Merlion (take note it is under renovation and cleaning now). To end of the night, you can walk over to Raffles Hotel for the Singapore Sling (but in my opinion, it's over-rated, expensive and too sweet).

Be aware that there is a cost in going to the top of Marina Bay Sands. The view and pool are amazing but you can only swim if you are staying at MBS.

The shops (spelt shoppes) are very, very expensive so unless you have unlimited pockets, don't go there if you are wanting a few hours of retail therapy.

Another thought is a quick trip on the bumboats which you can catch outside the MBS shopping centre. At a cost of $22 you get to see Singapore from the river. The trip lasts about 40 mins.
