Trip from Hong Kong to Singapore

I noticed on the tripadvisor review of the Shangri la that someone said they got flights from Hong Kong to Singapore plus a stay at the Shangri la for $300 per person. Could anyone recommned a good site to get this sort of deal. I am looking to book a trip for February.

Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin

I am not sure about that deal, But I would recommend a good budget Airline to U: www.jetstarasia.com

There might be package with the above airline, OR U can try www.zuji.com (And select HK site) There might be a good package deal from Hong Kong to Singapore.

Cheers.

Hi Marting,

It'll also be good if you post can this message in the Hong Kong forum. Coz more often than not, such promotional deals and offers are always advertised in the origin market - in this case, Hong Kong.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies - I want to book with Jet Star but you can only do it within 6 months of the flight - it's making me twitchy as the best price right now is about USD500 EACH! with Singapore Airlines just for the fights

It's crazy I know. The way airlines work determines that fares and schedules are essentially divided into two seasons: Summer (April - September) and Winter (October - March). So that's really the reason why most airlines won't allow you to book earlier than six months prior to your departure date.

Mainstream carriers like SIA and Cathay Pacific will permit you to make reservations up to one year in advance, but they'll only sell you full published normal fares (read: no discounted/ promotional deals) that's exorbitant.

like others, not sure of the deal mentioned but if airfare from HKG to SIN is too steep, check the airfare from Macau to SIN (Macau is a fun place to visit for an overnight), this is the budget airline Tiger Air.

As for Shangri la, best is to find the best rate u can get from any of the usual sites mentioned in this forum

Good Luck

This website on macau might help in someway:

(1) www.macautourism.gov.mo

(2) www.olamacauguide.com

Macau is a country rich with Portugese Heritage, esepecially the food & the Architecture. The next famous thing on Macau is the Casino (read Cash In No Out to me ^___^).

Cheers.

while in Macau, u definitely have to visit Fernando (famous for a few things, one being crab in clayport and the other is the chicken with fries, portuguese sure know how their way around a chicken !) and also shopping (there are a lot of reproduction as well as some antiques for furniture and all sorts of stuff, they ship overseas so if if u r looking around for a chinese cabinet or side table, etc, it is the place !)

Enjoy !

PS. the site Me had given should suffice for info. gathering, good luck
