I hope someone could offer some advice. My girlfriend is currently living in Singapore (I am moving in 2 weeks) and she has today had a problem in the New York Skin Solutions shop at Jurong Point.
To cut a long story short, she went in for one $10 treatment, and when she tried to pay on her card she was handed a reciept for over $1000. She asked what was going on and that she didnt want to pay for that but the lady just suddenly pretended she didn't understand and said no refund can be given. She didn't sign or anything but was just told she had been charged and that they 'thought' that she had asked for a whole package of future treatments.
She left the shop after getting no further and is now so upset. She contacted her bank to ask if the card can be stopped but the bank said not unless they have permission from the company making the transaction. I am wondering if she should just say her card has been lost or stolen, will this stop any money coming out?
She has now gone to a police station in Juron East somewhere near where she lives. Can anyone make any suggestions what to do at all? The money has not come out yet but probably will on Monday or soon.
Thought it would be useful also just to warn people not to use this shop!
