How can you buy a local Singapore sim card (documents required), places where we can buy the same and cost ?
You can buy them, all over the place. Probably easiest to buy them at the airport on arrival. You will need your passport. Prices from $10 and up depending on how much calls, data and validity you want.Edited: 11:17 am, August 16, 2018
I purchased mine on a previous trip from a mobile phone store within the Vivo City shopping centre. Every shopping centre should have such a store. I paid around $50AUD for my SIM Card which include international calls, texts and some data. It was a very generous amount and I barely used any of it, so I'm sure the cheaper SIM Cards would've been sufficient for a two week stay.
You may also like to check if your hotel offers a free Handy Phone: many hotels across Asia have a Handy smart phone for guests to use (you can take it out and about with you).
You can buy this at the airport. Would cost you about SGD15, with about 2GB of data.
The basic Tourist SIMs come with 100Gb of data, more than what most people will use, and are valid for 7 days.
Presently, one of the most attractive SIM cards is the SingTel $15 7 day 100GB 4G Card bundled with some calls. You can get it from the airport.
If it is sold out at your terminal, you can check the other terminals. You can also get it outside the airport but not all Singtel outlets sell it. Need your Passport.
Regarding the Singtel sim, can i also enjouly its benefits in MY?
It depends on the package you bought. Check out the link I provided. The $30 and $50 has roaming data fir Malaysia.
