7 hr stop over in singapore

we arrive terminal 1 at 1700 hrs and need to be back at terminal 3 at midnight. what to do with these hrs.We are checking luggage thru as part of same ticket so assume will not need to handle checked luggage.

understand there is a FREE 2 hr tour of the city for transit passengers but last tour at 1600 hrs so we can not make it.. Is there one later??.

alternative presume take the train into china town and walk around a bit. Food is secondary- we want to have a look around and see a bit what city life is like. What is the easiest- china town??.

can you please help with suggestions and schedule...

thanks..

You may consider going visiting Marina Bay; there are a lot to see within a compact area: merlion, esplanades, helix brdige, singapore flyer, skypark on top of marina bay sands (MBS), occulus, free light show at MBS, gardens by the bay, free light show at the super tree, the 2 conservatory domes.
