Polish food

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knows any shop or a restaurant where I could get Polish food? I searched many places and couldn't find anything apart from some of the premium Polish vodkas...

thanks

Hm. I don't know of any Polish restaurants, but there is apparently an expat community here, so you might want to ask them: www.internations.org/singapore-expats/polish

My friend whose parents were Polish but of another nationality now, once made this yummy potato pancake thingy - platzki (am sure I bungled up the spelling, sorry) which I liked. Simple home fare! I loved it.

raras2u, for quite a comprehensive article about what Polish people traditionally eat, may I refer you to this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_cuisine

jade_du, thanks, I found this website before but apparently registration is by invitation only. To be honest, I would be very surprised to find a Polish restaurant in Singapore as the Polish community in Singapore is no more than a few hundred people and not many Singaporeans here have ever been to Poland and tried the local food, but hey, you never know ;)

I guess potato pancakes polish-style shouldn't be too hard to make at home and most ingredients are readily available in Singapore, thanks for the idea!
