Reasonable trike costs?

What are reasonable rates for trikes? Is it usually a per person cost or a flat fee or you can negotiate either?

We are in the middle of Station 2 and wanted to goto Puka Beach but unsure of what costs would be.

Also, are we able to find water sports right on Puka Beach? TIA!

To Puka Beach will be around 150Php for a private trycycle. Thats per trycycle not per person. You cant negotiate and I have found most of the drivers very honest.

Returning there will be plenty of trycycle driver who will take you back.

Its cheaper if you get a shared trycyle and that price is per person.

I can't remember seeing any watersports at Puka but maybe that's changed.

most tricycles in the Philippines operate on a per person rate, usually ten pesos but say for a 8 km ( 5 mile) journey for example could be 25 pesos with two or 3 inside plus a couple behind the driver or on a double seat in the back depending on where you are in the country however in tourist areas the drivers form little mafias and only take foreigners on private rides as in fairness most foreigners assume trikes are like taxis, overcharging is the norm, they also wont let passing trikes stop and pick up a fare from outside a hotel for example as there will be a crowd of trikes waiting to grab the guests at a fixed fare which pisses off the workers trying to get home as they want to overcharge them as well. I cant be specific about what the fares should be in Borocay but some background info as to how trikes operate may come in handy if ever off the tourist trail.

No watersports at Puka that I saw and I was was there a few weeks ago. Its certainly a lot more commercialised to what I remember from a few years ago. Lots of stalls chairs for hire etc. Its a beautiful beach though.

Main road share a trike is P10, P150 private to Puka. It can be rough water at Puka so no set water sports Sometimes the boats dont even land due to waves, but island hopping will stop there if they can.

Tricycles are public transport. They will pick up other passengers going the same way.

If you want a private ride, you have to negotiate.

In Boracay there isn't really negotiation for private rides. Prices are set.

Thanks all. Does that mean we should stay on White Beach for water sports?

Will probably drop by Puka Beach just to take a look and perhaps have lunch (?)

Yes, TOMMO, supposed to be set prices but in reality they will over charge people who are not aware.
