How to Get to Boracay from Kalibo or Caticlan Airport!

Gets asked a lot and although there is an FAQ to the right, this blog is very comprehensive and easy to follow.

QUOTE

"Airfare: Tickets to Caticlan are much, much more expensive, P7000 to P10,000. It is also rarely covered in airlines’ promo sales."

Dont quite agree. The prices quoted above are at the high end. They can be purchased a lot cheaper. Promos from Manila to Caticlan are quite easy to obtain. Ive booked a promo fare for this December! If you are organised and plan in advance easier to get.

From Caticlan to Manila is more expensive and promos are rare. Consider Kalibo as your airport to Manila if budget is an issue.

No need to get the hotel to pick you up from Kalibo. Most will charge a lot more than you will pay by organising this yourself. South West Tours are a painless and reliable way of organising the transfer yourself.

Going to jump in here and ask:

My hotel is quoting me 750pesos per person for transfers from Kalibo airport.

Best to do it on my own, you say?

well, if you will compare what you pay in the USA to what it costs here, then no need to discuss as S. West is just fine for you, but if your a budget traveler who will do it on your own and two will travel, then about half. Dont forget port fees of P175 each on top of anything they sell you.
