Do-able?

I arrive in Cebu via Silkair at 1245 hrs. Cebu Pacific flies from Cebu to Caticlan at 1420 hrs.

Can I make it?

What do you guys think?

(I had to ask... :))

If your flight is on time and you can clear immigration and custom even in 30mins, you are cutting it very close. So I would not recommend it.

Your CP flight is at 1420hrs so you must check in before 1335hrs.

There is virtually no room for error. So again I will not suggest the arrangement.

Any delays at all and you miss the connecting flight.

Can't disagree.

I have faith in Silkair. But not so much in the ground conditions at Cebu.

Thanks.

We'll just spend a night in Cebu and fly the next day.

Hi, Cebu Pacific flights are usually delayed. But perhaps your decision to spend a night in Cebu is better. Have some Cebu lechon (roast pig) for dinner =)

delays in Cebu Pacific do NOT change required check in times etc.

Stay the night or get another flight.

I would also recommend the night in Cebu or a much later flight!

Stay around Ayala Shopping Centre area.

Did you consider taking Tiger Air from Singapore to Kalibo Airport which is a 1.5-hour bus ride to Boracay?

There are no later flights. That's the problem with getting to Boracay. Why cant the authorities do something about the flight schedules? The flight difficulties are supposed to add to the allure of the island, I guess! :)

Tiger Air will not do. This is the annual year-end family holiday and the kids (not me, actually) have certain expectations. Budget airlines will not do. Besides, the difference between cost of Tiger Air ticket and SilkAir + Cebu Pacific ticket is only about Sgd $100 for the 5 of us! And 1.5 hrs commute is not appealing either.

Anyway, the plan is to spend some time in Cebu on the return journey to do some Christmas shopping. I've been to Ayala before and it's pretty impressive, esp the restaurants.

www.asiatravel.com has good rates for hotels in Cebu City, including the excellent Radisson Blu with its amazingly good buffet breakfast and decent swimming pool.
