How much to hire van or other transport to Chocolate Hills?

Hi all,

We will visit Bohol 3rd week of Dec. I like to know how much to hire a van or other transport for 4 persons going to Chocolate Hills?

Do all the hotels organize trip with transport to Chocolate Hills and how much per person?

Is it better to join group trip or go our own hire a van to Chocolate Hills?

All suggestions are most welcomed.

Thanks.

Steven

Maybe you chose the "Package Option 1"... You should choose the "Package Option 2"

Thanks for the link.

I check package 2 for 4 persons share P2,000 for 8hrs looks reasonable but is 8hrs enough time to go Chocolate Hills tour and explore the place and back to hotel?

Yeah it's enough. If you go beyond 8 hours you can pay for the excess hours.

u can see all the tourist spots in bohol in one day ,so if u only want to see the chocolate hills ,u can exclude some of the other places. ,not sure those rates u see in website are still valid as there have been fuel increases ,best to e-mail and enquire.

The (usual) routine for an 8hr tour is as follows;

Morning - visit churches & historical landmarks

Noon - is devoted to Loboc River Tour and Lunch

After that it will be a drive to Chocolate Hills, however you may be invited to see some places of interest for few min (such as Tarsier, Butterfly Garden). Then an hour or two stay in Chocolate Hills will be sufficient. Around 5pm, you will be in your hotel.

The tour service cost bet 2500-3000php/car-driver (excluding some entry fees & river tour/lunch expenses).

Bohol tour is so organized you could never go wrong.

That may be your usual routine but not mine.

I have done 7 day tours of Bohol now.

I go straight to Chocolate Hills as it is the furthest away of the standard tourist sites. Then do all the other sites coming back to Tagbilaran.

How long you take will depend if you do the Pangalo Island sites too. Such as Bohol Bee Farm and Hinagdanan Cave. Most tour cards I have seen don't include these. Hinagdanan Cave could be several hours by itself if you decide to go swimming underground.

My last tour a month ago, I had no time to go to Panglao. At 5pm, I told the driver to take us home. This was because I decided to fit in a waterfall too.
