El Nido to Coron in just 3.5 hours by Montenegro Fastcraft

Travelling between El Nido and Coron now only takes 3.5 hours with Montenegro Shipping Lines who have launched a new service with their fastcraft.

There is a 6am El Nido departure and a 9:30am Coron departure.

Bookings can be made via the details in the linkas well as Art Cafe in El Nido.

This is a most welcome service.

Very welcomed service indeed, and it will be great to hear some feedback in the future by anyone who has used this Fastcraft service to make the crossing in either direction, especially in some of the rougher sea conditions.

I also wonder if the coast guard will allow this boat to travel in bad weather that is considered too rough for the current outrigger passenger boats to travel in.

I have also been trying to find a direct link for this service in the official Montenegro website but it appears to be no longer active from my end, so it looks like the above links are the only ones available at the moment.

Cheers.

@ glen, you are right as I read the schedule wrong.

The Montenegro FB page (link above) is the only active webpage I could find.

Good information indeed. Wrote the company by email to gather more info. From the post in this thread their contact details should be:

operations.msli@gmail.com

tl. 0917 496 2009 (amongst others)

Great way to boost traffic in the Palawan area. But if you want to get off the beaten track and you have enough time, would suggest you try out Linapacan, half way between El Nido and Coron. Beautiful natural paradise!

Hello,

It is encouraging to see some recent posts on transport in this region.

We are seeking to travel from El Nido to Coron in December just after Christmas on the Fastcraft or ? if there is a 3 day island hopping tour between El Nido and Coron? Not even sure this exists!

I would be grateful for any information on the fastcraft; How many people it takes, costs, confirmation of the time schedule,Safety, if we need to book in advance..... Also any tips on accommodation in El Nido and Coron and recommended things to do. We have 9 days here. (14 days in Philippines) We would like to stay 4 days in El nido and 3 days in Coron.

I have also heard about a 3 day island hopping from El Nido to Coron. I would be very grateful for information and links. Struggling to find update information and am worried about everything being booked out over Christmas.

Any Assistance would be grately appreciated.

El Nido-Coron Expedition Tours

These are 4 of the current operators that I am personally aware of (there may be others) who specialize in Expedition Tours between El Nido and Coron, and vice versa, and each one owns their own boats, and run the tours themselves, all appear to have a good reputation, but as always, do your own research on each one before deciding which one to take, as they all offer very similar expeditions, but they all seem to do them slightly different to each other.

This operator does not offer Expedition Tours between El Nido and Coron, but they do offer a very interesting 1 or 2 night Tour around Bacuit Bay in El Nido, living aboard their boat and touring the islands and beaches in the bay.

Thank you Glenpinn for your rapid and informative reply. Already looking into the links you sent.

Can you or anyone else who has stayed in El Nido recently recommend reasonable accommodation in El Nido? Not looking for luxury but comfortable and clean hotel. The guide books are often out dated and many places already appear to have no vacancy before Christmas.

Hi again, i personally don't get too involved with accommodation advice, simply because there are just too many different types of accommodation available, both in town, and in the surrounding regions outside of town, however i will always offer an opinion about which region i recommend tourists to stay in, as there is basically 4 that you can choose from.

In the main Town, Corong Corong, Marimegmeg & LasCabanas beaches, and over at Caalan Beach, wich is my personal favorite region because it is so peaceful and quiet, and it has the best selection of accommodation in my opinion.

The main thing to consider is your budget, you need to give us an idea of how much (in peso) you want to spend per night, and also tell us some of the other things that you would like from the place you want to stay at.

I find this airbnb link fairly good at finding the various places that are available thru them.

Wow, i knew that accommodation starts filling early before Xmas, but not quite this far out.

These are most of the places over at Caalan beach, you could try them, and check on their prices as this link in 4 years old.
