JAM buses from Pasay-Batangas: Safety

Hi

Hoping to get some feedback on catching the JAM bus from Manila to Batangas Pier, especially for female travellers. I read that most recommend the bus as cheapest option to go but have also heard about it not being the safest.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Bus safety is taken seriously here and any doubts are quickly acted upon.

Don't worry about safety - they would not be plying the route if they were unsafe.

You will find little difference between the fares of similar buses.

I have taken several buses in Philippines to as far as Pugudpud and never felt unsafe.

Hi,

JAM is very safe for ladies (no idea where you got the contrary idea from)

However, there is hardly any difference in costs with other bus companies. The only difference in cost is when you take an ordinary (non aircon) bus and a deluxe (air con) bus. Of course, the latter are preferable for Pasay to Batangas pier.

JAM has newer buses than many of its competitors. Their free wi-fi onboard would keep you busy if there's traffic.
