Easier entry: Philippines visa waiver extended to 30 days

TA previously featured a thread on Philippines' plans to extend its visa waiver from 21 to 30 days.

This appears to have now occurred. It is great news for those who want to stay almost a month without the inconvenience, cost and hassle of having to apply for a visa:

The ensures that Philippines is more competitive in this aspect than Vietnam, which requires a visa for many non-ASEAN nationals.

Come on down to Philippines: it's more fun with a longer visa waiver!:

This is indeed great news. Thanks vlad! I've been waiting for this to be formally announced ever since the tourism secretary mentioned the matter in one of his interviews a few months back. One thing interesting is the "conditional" visa-free entry of Chinese and Indian nationals that would somehow help to open the country to this vast and rapidly growing market.

Good news indeed and also surprising because it will mean a fall in the income of the Bureau of Immigration.

I wonder where they will claw back the lost amount?

For the spirit of reciprocity, I think Indian nationals should be also given visa-on-arrival rather than requiring them to have a visa of a 1st world country. Filipinos can now visit India without the need to apply for a visa before their arrival to that country.

Good sentiment kegler but reciprococity does not always apply.

Australia insists on an A$105 visa for all nationals except New Zealanders. However Phils gives us 30 days visa waiver.
