Waterfalls transport

We wish to visit the waterfalls from Gandate park, about 9km from Hida Osaka station. We are not keen on tours. Is there any other way?

It's about 20 minutes when I search the Gandate Park walking time from Himeshaga-no-yu on the Google map.

It is approximately 30 minutes till mitsudaki.

It is bus fare 420 yen from Osaka station front, 970 yen from Gero station front(Probably Gero bus center also).
