Ramayana Ballet

My family arrives at the Jogjakarta airport at 1650 hours and will need to check in at Melia Purosani Hotel.

We have made bookings for the ballet which is at Trimurti Theater and need to collect tickets before 7 pm, for the show which starts at 7.30pm

Will we have sufficient time to check in and get to the Theater in time? Is there a restaurant on site, and is the food reasonable?

Thank you for your advice

There is a restaurant at prambanan. Never dine there so no idea.

I will suggest you to go staright to the show and check in later, if you insist on check in first it may be possible but will be very tight and the traffic is unpredictable

Thank you, Ekoputranto.

The problem is that we will have our luggage with us. Is there any way to store luggage there?

There is no taxi available at prambanan, so we usually tell visitors to hire a car or ask the taxi to wait. They will keep your luggages while you are enjoying the show, just make sure there is nothing preciuos in it.

Or you can try to ask at tickets office/prambanan restaurants, they will try their best to help their customers

If your plane lands on time and you get out of the airport quickly you do have a chance to check in and go back to Prambanan. It's very close to the airport though, so you would be backtracking. The idea to have the driver watch your luggage while he waits for you is the best one (make sure when you engage the driver that he knows what you want him to do. You do pay for waiting time of course)

Prambanan closes at 5:30 so you won't have time to go inside the actual temple grounds before the show, but you can come back another time and see the temple. I would also suggest seeing Ratu Boko when you do Prambanan as well.
