If you are just visiting the big cities area, then there is none.

As you're going to tropical climate, mosquito bites can be a problem. You can always purchase mosquito repellent from convenience stores or brought one from home.

a Hello and THANK you are recommended while seeking a free advice on the public forum. Vaccination, though is not needed.

Some people get a vaccine for Typhoid, do understand though that it is a long way short of 100% effective.

The standard vaccinations you (presumably) have at home should be up to date, such as Tetanus, Diphtheria and inactivated Polio vaccine (Td-Polio).

The appropriateness of many vaccinations/immunization programs for adults, children and teenagers is contested and debated but some of them are really just a logical choice on the cost benefit scale of things, others are possibly a little more doubtful.

Check your current Hepatitis vaccination.

That may be a handy thing to consider, especially Hepatitis A (HAV).

That is the one likely to arise from food handling or poor hygiene conditions.

You need to talk to a health care provider concerning your risks for Hepatitis B and C for you and your children.

These are issues that apply at home as well, not just when travelling.

Vaccinations programs for children and adults vary from place to place so consult advice from State health services where you live, or wander of to a health center.

Make sure to use a goo mosquito repellant. Autan is non-DEET and may be preferred for that reason.

Soffell contains active DEET 13%, and is readily available in a 30 ml., 80 ml and small sachets. http://www.enesis.com/product/detail/en/5

Autan autan.co.uk/media/…20brochure.pdf contains Icaridin (the trade name of the patented chemical KBR 3023) instead of DEET and is considered far less toxic.

Their information brochure autan.co.uk/media/…20brochure.pdf has lots of good information on various repellants, and some of the common mosquito borne diseases.

I was in Jakarta, Yogya and Bali in December.

Get the shot for dysentery. If I go again--it's on the top of my list.

Do you know where to get shots? Your doctor will know. Also, local Public Health Departments will know. There is typically a travel vaccine clinic in each county.
