Cultural/ Balinese tour

A few years ago, a group of us went on a great tour and forgot to take down the name of the company! After a decent amount of time searching we have not been able to find it...

The tour was great! By far one of the best we've ever done,

We had a stop at a morning market, a ride on a push bike/carry cart type thing, visit to a local school which the tour guide gave us gifts to hand out, then we were taken to a families house complex where we were shown how to make offerings and assisted in preparing/cooking lunch which we were able to eat afterwards!

Does anybody know the name of the tour or something similar? We are taking approx 10 bali newbies in February and would love to take them on this tour..

Thanks in advance!

Sassy, most of the standard tours will include cultural elements, especially the visit to the local home. The Bali Adventure Tours bike ride passes through a Bali Aga village which is quite interesting as well as travelling down back roads south of Kintamani passing mandarine plantations, cacao, rice fields etc etc and finishing in the Elephant Park at Taro.

If you want something more personal, I can highly recommend Yandira, an Ubud guide. He does a number of specialist hikes, ranging from easy Ayung valley walks through to full-day hikes through the jungle of Mt Batukaru. You learn an incredible amount of stuff from him throughout the day and he's happy to improvise and include local market stops etc if you ask. His emails is: http://uniqubalitours.webs.com/

Here's a link to my HNR of his tour last May:

Thanks for the response Karen,

I probably should have mentioned that we are taking my 75 year old grandmother on the trip who is definitely unable to do any bike rides :)

Was looking more for a less strenuous tour :)
