Hotel to land in Bali at midnight? Sanur/kuta 1 night?

We are flying in from Japan (coming from California, USA) and plan to go to Amed for several nights before heading to UBUD area for 5-6 days. Where should we land? any recommendations? Sanur, or Kuta. Plan to stay 1 night and go to a nice beach. Thinking Amed for 3-4 day beach experience. Then heading to Ubud to explore culture and nature. Have compound home reservation for Ubud (they only had 3 nights available)..... any recommendation for a second place in Ubud for 2-3 more nights? Thank you. Pretty, good location, authentic
