travel in mid/late-August with 1-yr-old

We're from India and are looking at taking a one-week holiday around 24th August this year. We're looking at:

*some very relaxing beach,

*less-frequented by the crowds,

*not too expensive,

*and some place not infested with mosquitoes etc, given that we would be carrying our 1-yr-old daughter along.

Which of the islands in Indonesia would you recommend we go to? Any hotels/resorts that you would recommend. Thanks!

1 bali is malaria free and has a lot of facilities.

the south is well developed but there are quietier places eg padangbai is one of my favourite spots that has what u want

2 Lombok - especially kuta Lombok - lots of beaches, quiet, places to stay, laid back

Gili Air is lovely. I took my 4 year old nephew there and he loved it being able to play on the beach or swim in the pool. Lots of resturants and very easy to get around. It's a lot quieter than Gili T. If you want quieter still there is Gili Meno.
