Bringing camera equipment through internationally

Hi, I plan on vlogging our trip to Bali and was curious on what might be the best way to store my gimbal, cameras, and laptop if I was to be traveling internationally from the US to Bali. Should I have all of my equipment in my carry-on to ensure it’s safety or will they need to be in my check-in? Any suggestions?

Definitely keep all your camera gear and laptop in your carry on baggage. Also, airlines often advise you not to put this kind of valuable items in checked in baggage.
