Hong Kong Airport-layover

I am arriving in to Hong Kong airport at midnight and the next flight is at 10 am. Is there a reasonably priced place to sleep a few hours? It seems between a taxi and a room in HK is very expensive. Does anyone know of something that makes sense that doesn't break the bank??

Hello Strat0424

Welcome to the Hong Kong forum,

If you type in late night layover or something similar in the Search Box at the top of this page, you'll find past questions that are similar with thoughts of the members of this particular TA forum. Some will suggest just resting up at the airport lounge or in the departure area. Others will suggest going into the city for a few hours to visit a bar, restaurant and catching the morning Airport Express (AE) back to the airport. Others will suggest hotel stay to catch-up on sleep.

Hotels are not cheap in Hong Kong and much will depend on what you mean by breaking the bank. If you can give us an idea of what budget you are looking to spend we can suggest some hotels that might be suitable for a quick overnight stay.

A regularly recommended hotel, near to the airport is the Citygate Novotel. I'd look there for certain regardless of what you decide to do.

Hope this is helpful.
