Ngong Ping 360 Booking Site Problems.

I have been trying to prepurchase tickets for the last 2-3 days but keep getting the message 'booking down for maintenance'. Does anyone know if this is a recent problem or if has been happening for some time? Thanks.

Hi,

There is a booking form that you can complete and mail / fax them to make your bookings.

The form is available on their website.

Thanks, I did notice the email option but just so used to doing everything online with immediate confirmation. Just seems strange that its been down for so long.

I too have been trying the online booking for over 2 weeks and today still the same old problem 'online booking maintenance'. No special announcement in the website to advice customer when this will be up and running.

The manual form does not even request for credit card detail, so how can a booking can be guarantee.

On submission of the form, a reservation subject to payment is made and confirmation is sent.

The payment (cash or card) is required to be made at the specific counter for reservation guests.

However, reservation guests are still required to queue up in the pre-boarding area.

I think you don't need to book in advance coz you can buy ticket on the cable entrance and there is no limitation to the ticket. No sell out unless they close, probably around 6 PM weekday and 6.30 PM weekend.

Ngong Ping 360's online booking system is still "under maintenance" but it announced yesterday that it is shortly to introduce its new digital online ticketing service which will enable visitors to book online via its website or from a mobile device 24 hours a day and be allocated a pre-selected boarding time to allow boarding without having to queue. I imagine details will be available on the website in due course. Some tickets will still be reserved for walk-up visitors.

It has also announced further closure dates in 2013, in addition to 30th and 31st January;

13th to 20th March

26th and 27th June

3 weeks in September (dates tba)

2 days in early December (dates tba)
