Could you be a bit clearer? Are you asking if it's cheaper to book onward travel in Hong Kong?

If you mean from HK to Bangkok, we just contacted travel agencies, specifically, Travel Expert, as we will be travelling during peak periods, and don't want to risk it by waiting until we arrive (also our itinerary is different to the usual HK flights+accommodation packages). They were the only ones who bothered responding to our email enquries.

If you mean day tours, you can leave it until you arrive, but, you'll find many comments here saying that HK, at least, is easy on your own DIY trip.

Have a good trip!

Not exactly clear what you are asking as well but can offer some thoughts.

As for Thailand, 'Yes'.... it is cheaper to wait and book your local tours and onward transportation after you arrive. In Bangkok, for example, it is very simple to book your tours, even onwards hotels, etc. through local tour operators and agents (they are everywhere) and you will spend much less then if you try to book from home through your local tour agent or even online.

However, Hong Kong, is just one city, not a larger country like Thailand so the visit situation is different. Here we don't usually even recommend booking tours as HK is very simple to self-visit. We have an excellent (and cheap) transportation network of buses and MTR system and most major attractions are within close distance to others or within easy access to public transportation. So, under most circumstances, HK is easy enough to just vist independently, no real need for a tour.

Hope these thoughts are useful. Let us know if you need specific assistance for your travels here.
