Hello. We are off to Hong Kong for a short holiday (around 8 days) at the beginning of next month and have a few questions for the forum. Thanks in advance for your help and time.
On one of our days are planning to go out to Lantau Island in the Morning then Cheung Chau and Lamma Island in the Arvy.
Would a kind someone be able to give some advice on the best transport between the Islands?
We where looking at catching a Ferry to Mui Wo on Lantau Island and catching the No.2 Bus upto the Budda then walking down to Tung Chung for an MTR trip back to Hong Kong Island then outward to the island again. But havent been able to find any ferries between Cheung Chau and Lamma Island.
While im typing away, we are also off to Guangdong on a day tour with China Travel Service (including Lotus Mountain and other nice scenery). Should we need to convert any RMB for the day?
This is the tour we are planning on going with chinatravelone.com/english/…bt1.htm
Lastly, we are also planning on taking 4 tours of Hong Kong itself (2 night cruises and the New Territories and Land Between Tours). We have noticed that buying the tours directly through the Hong Kong companies is a lot cheaper. Would we be allright to book and pay for the tours at the HKTB service desk once we get to the Airport? The only reason I ask is that the tours are all with different companies and we would have to make 4 reservations online. But we dont want to get caught out if their are no spots left on the tours.
