New Years Eve in Hong Kong

Good day everyone!

I need suggestions for NYE:)

Thinking about going to waterfront to watch fireworks for the countdown (well aware must arrive in advance), but not sure how cold it is since should be pretty windy. And what about crowds? Insane?

Another option is booking NYE dinner at restaurant like AQUA (already messaged them since have no idea about price)

Any other ways to spend NYE for young couple? haha fancy or not both work for us.

Just really need advice on what to do, so can plan in advance

Thank you!

Yes it's still under renovation. Although there is a garden of stars.

Waterfront area is a good choice but i would recommend checking mesmerizing views from Ozone world class bar. I had good experience there and this is the highest bar of the world from where you could get the best on new year eve.

Why should it be windy? Hong Kong is not exactly a windy place, in general.

The crowds are generally very sane and well behaved.

The restaurants in the newly opened Ocean Terminal Deck at Tsim Sha Tsui (the Ocean Terminal extension at Harbour City) take some beating for harbour views;

I wouldn't bother with Aqua... the view is SUPERB alright but it's overpriced enough on ordinary weekends I couldn't even imagine how much they would charge on NYE

Well it seems that restaurants with view in fact isnt an option for me hahaha

Ozone bar for NYE:

Price : Advance

HK$740 per guest (On or before 1 December)

HK$840 per guest (2 December onwards)

At the door (*subject to availability)

HK$390 per guest (Entry after midnight at 12:30 am)

Both tickets including a glass of Dom Pérignon Champagne

To get a table costs more then my monthly rent in Shanghai hahaha

I would recommend just having dinner in a place away from the harbor (and saving big $$$$), and then just wander down to the harbor area about 11 pm. The Tsim Sha Tsui East waterfront is spacious; I spent one New Year's Eve there and didn't find the crowds to be too irksome. And of course there are plenty of restaurants in Tsim Sha Tsui.

As to the weather.....no way to tell in advance. Likely to be a little bit cool, but not cold.
