China Spree Tours

I am planning a trip to China. I am thinking about using China Spree Tours. Has anyone used this tour company? If so, what was the quality of your trip? How were the hotels, guides, etc.

We travelled with China Spree in May/June this year and have no complaints.

We never travel with tour groups, due to the captive nature, however found China a bit daunting to do on our own, so were willing to sacrifice laid back travel for busy, busy, busy.

We did the Best Treasures Tour and a lot was packed into the 12 days. We paid our own way to China, but once we joined the tour group we hardly ever put our hands in our pocket. Hotels were mainly of a high standard and the meals were fine.

I'm just sitting in the Shanghai Airport after completing the Middle Kingdom Tour with China Spree today. I will do a more indepth review once I'm home, but let me tell you, I had lots of fun, with great people and best of all, the tour guide(s) were fantastic. All the accommodation was second to none and the food was - well, Chinese. We went to a lot of sites, with some off the beaten track so to speak. Everything that was promised, was delivered. In hindsight, the price of the tour is a bargoon. Accomodation was top notch and we really didn't have to think about anything. There were 16 people in our group and we had a national tour guide with us the whole time with local guides along the way. I had a ball and would definiately use China Spree again. Hope that helps..

We used China Spree this past Sept for a four person personal tour and found them to be completely reliable, taking great care of us and taking us to wonderful places, most of which we asked to go to. The restaurants they chose were great. They were all local places and we ate delicious food and plenty of it. The guides were great. We selected the hotels, and China Spree made all the arrangements. We took five internal flights that China Spree arranged for us and everything went so smoothly. We had an amazing trip.

Just returned from the 10 day Beijing/Xian/Shanghai tour. We booked a private group tour for our family, totaling 22 ppl ranging from age 9 to mid 70's, and from first time China travellers to seasoned return visitors. Normally would travel independently but wanted the guided/escorted tour for the educational value for the children & first timers. The days were full, hotels 4star, meals from average to great. Value unbeatable. Our guides were first rate. Tours covered all top sites and added off the beaten path tours, which were outstanding.

Staff at China Spree easy to work with and very accommodating. Everyone in our group agreed it was a fantastic trip. We couldn't believe the value received. First class service at budget prices.

Have fun!

We traveled in April, 2012 & China Spree Tours was fantastic! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Hotels were first class, tour guides were beyond excellent, hotels were fabulous & their itinerary is incredible. Food was Chinese but it was really, really good local dishes - exceeded my expectations in every way!

Glad to hear you enjoyed. We leave next month with them on Panorama Tour. How did you handle tipping? Did you use any USD?

Never use US$ in China. I will not be appreciated by the recipient who needs to then spend one hour in line at the bank to exchange it as they cannot use dollars to pay rent or groceries.
