Had this in my eMailbox this morning from Gamewatchers..

"..The Loita wildebeest migration is now in our Mara Conservancies and the main Serengeti migration has also entered the Mara with some lucky clients witnessing the first river crossing of the season TODAY in the Mara !!.."

... that's what the many Migration Status sites are indicating A bit early, though not unusual. Lucky those visiting in June this year.

Will be in Naboisho mid-Sept. Is it possible that the migration will remain in this area for a while? Possibly move backwards towards Tanzania or continue to move forward? Seems like they are at least a month ahead of most previous years or not?

@Phoenix Do not worry. There are more than one million wildebeests crossing, so the area is action packed until beginning of October.

Phoenix - Naibosho is a fair trek from the Mara River. Normally what they do from Naibosho is a full day drive to the Mara with packed breakfast and lunch. That way you can spend good time around where the wildebeest are.

I am at Naibosho next weekend, so will report back on how it is.
