Some 9 months ago we booked a flight to Tanzania (to join a safari) with BA. It was via Nairobi but we had a 1 hour 15 minute layover.... just enough time to change planes. Perfect!
BA have now changed the BA - London to Nairobi by 25 minutes making our connection to tanzania no longer legal!
Now we have to collect bags, get Kenya visa and over night in Nairobi!!
Firstly can any one help with finding a reasonably priced but safe hotel near the airport ( we are travelling with our 10 year old son)
My frustration is that most planes now arrive fiteen/ twenty minutes early and surely Precision Air being local will leave on time?? I've even read somewhere that they wait for the long haul flights - So if we do arrive early and get through at what point do we have to decide if we are going to try and get on the flight.....i.e: before immigration and then if we miss the connection - can we then go back and get a visa and stay over night. All of this of course is based on the fact that they have seats on the precision air flight for that night.
What was to be an easy journey is now becoming a logistical nightmare - can anyone offer assistance or advise?
