Safari for New Years

We are considering going on a safari and to the beach for 2 weeks after Christmas this year. We want to go to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. Is this a good time to go there and is 2 weeks enough? Any recommendations on companies that offer the best tours for these regions?

Even with 14/days, you need minimum 3/nts for the beach, leaviing 10/days for safari.

And as most advise, unless you have specific areas either Kenya or Tanzania you'd like to visit, it's not recommended trying to visit both contries.

You'll need Visas for both countries and if crossing from Kenya to Tanzania, a Yellow Fever inoc and proof of same for entry (TNZ & ZNZ).

Besides, of course, malaria meds both countries for the duration.

Jan is peak season in Tanzania at the highest prices, if there is even availability.

Jan is mid season most properties in Kenya, with likely more/easier availability.

In addition, do you have any idea where you plan to arrive and depart?

Believe we need a bit more info, even estimated budget to come up with suggestions.

We did 20 days last February and into March including Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. in hind sight would have just done Tanzania with 4 days rest/beach on ZnZ.

By the time we got to Znz (early March) it was very hot and humid. January might be more comfortable for you.

Are you planning to book with directly with local safari operators or a tour company based out of Canada?

Also in hindsight, we would skip the mid man and deal direct.

PM me if you want more specifics.

I think two weeks will be enough . You can do

Kenya 5 days

Tanzania 4 days

Zanzibar 5 days

ZNZ is tropical - hot/humid - year-round and between mid-Dec thru Mar are the 'summer' months so hotter/more humid than otherwise, both on the mainland (rather dry, less humid if at all) and the coastal areas either country.
