Hi maggieomx

Sorry to dissapoint you but we arrived back last weds from 2 weeks in the sheraton.

The renovations are very intensive.

They have blocked off the entire reception area along with the dining room, bar and disco.

The Indian restaurant is currently being used as the reception and the conference room as the dining room.

We were led to believe that the Indian menu was available in the karnak restaurant along with the normal menu.

The bar has been relocated to the outside restaurant by the pool.

We were very dissapointed with the extent of the building works as there was a considerable amount of dust and noise.

As we left last weds they were still chisselling the marble floor up and the pillars, there was no ceiling and the air con was being ripped out.

The gardens were also closed off and all the bungalows were not usable.

it would seem like yhere is still a long way to go.

We were also upset to hear that the famous flamingos and pelicans had been shot as a precaution to bird flu.

Having stayed at the sheraton before the hotel is no where near its normal standards.
