Should You Ride a Camel in Giza? Certainly not!

I just read this article and had to share it because WE WERE THE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO GOT RIPPED-OFF! Yes, it was last yes, and I'm still mad. I bargained with the camel guy for 20 bucks for 45 minutes and thirty minutes later he wanted me to get off - BUT BUT BUT he demanded an extra twenty or he wouldn't let me down -- I screamed and screamed (my husband already went to the have a drink at the bar near the Sphinx) and I had to pay and extra !) to get down (I refused to pay another twenty!) Anyway, check out this article -- be warned!!! And read the full article about travel scams on Glittersnipe - I swear to God, I wish I'd read this one - - and now my husband wants to go to India. Just kill me already!

Personally speaking, I would have more of an issue if my partner legged it out of sight leaving female unaccompanied - now that is unacceptable. Much more than a relatively poor person scamming someone much better off. Discuss future expectations of personal safety when travelling if I were you.
