You probably want to ask in the Luxor forum, or, if you just browse the last several weeks there, you'll see lots of opinions.

Is it a package? Or have you booked flights and hotel yourself? Has your tour operator, if any, offered you cancellation? Have you checked the terms of your booking/s and your insurance position?

At the moment people in Egypt report that things feel safe there. You should certainly find out about planned demonstrations and avoid them. They are mostly in Cairo.

But most people want to be sure their insurance is valid if they go and that is deterring a lot of regulars. You don't want to find you are run over by a camel, hit your head on the corner of a temple, nothing to do with politics, but have to pay for six weeks in intensive care and a private jet home.
